Digital Asset Management (DAMs)
A Digital Assets Management adventure that started in 1848!
Imagine trying to sift through over 290,000 analog & digital assets from an art college that has been generating visual assets continually for over 175 years! With no system in place for centralized search or browsing. No hierarchical directory structure. No universal naming conventions.
That’s what I was given; and I took that and found a Digital Asset Management tool that I could implement with a minimum of internal I.T. support and a very modest yearly budget. After populating it with almost 300K assets, I designed & configured the DAMs UI and functionality, which included:
An easily accessible web interface with institutional branding
Simple & advanced keyword search tools
Easily curated sub-galleries with custom share settings
and all with helpfully named & organized assets
Accessible for staff, faculty, news & media outlets, and all partners that the institution wanted to share its rich history, as well as its contemporary art & design student work.

Rule the Runway
Eighteen seniors presented their spring and summer collections at The Barnes Foundation, on May 17, 2019. This video was used across email and social campaigns to increase audience engagement and drive ticket sales.

An honors program that is “More Than Just a Scholarship.” Use assets captured by an outside vendor, originally shot for a longer form documentary. (12 minutes) This shorter promo is to help promote a program, and drive recruitment of underserved communities.

Gillian went to Moore starting with the summer youth program, then the undergraduate program, and finally the art education graduate program. We wanted to document that unique & complete experience. And because I communicated well ahead of the shoot day, we were given access to her students, and her home studio, which rounded the narrative out nicely.

Getting access to Karen’s NYC studio, we wanted to showcase this alum’s world-class design abilities and expertise. We wanted to document the positions she held at Christian Dior, Liz Claiborne, Dana Buchman, Ellen Tracy and Talbots; as well as her new trailblazing womenswear brand.

Judie Thai ’19 - An unusual Game Arts path
The Animation & Game Arts major was a new program, and we needed to showcase a success story, as well as promote our paid internship program for all students. Judie had an unusual story, deciding to intern at a table-top game design house, even though her focus was video games. We wanted to illustrate that valuable skills can be learned by all students with curiosity and drive.
